Our programs
In Argentina, travesti, trans and non-binary people experience a chain of discrimination marked by expulsion from their homes at a young age and exclusion from the education and health systems, as well as the labor market.
They also experience situations such as institutional and police violence; prostitution/sex work as their only source of income; and sexually transmitted diseases. The result is a life expectancy of just 35 years for travestis and trans women (we lack data for other trans populations).
Given this reality, we take an integral approach, understanding that to guarantee rights, all of these issues must be addressed jointly. In this way, we can weave other destinies: ones with less violence and greater opportunities.
